Kamarudeen Aminat, a NASFAT
member of Shibiri Ekunpa Branch is among the 15 Finalist for the Badagry
Division to participate in the one week camping programme where the Divisional Ambasador
and Overall Lagos State Youth Ambassador will emerge.
A telephone interviews with
her reveals that 10 Finalist plus 5 reserved emerged during the first leg of the
training and leadership challenge that will participate in the camping
programme. Before the camp, the 15 finalist will be meeting His Excellency, Governor
Akinwumi Ambode on 20th of August 2018. She is of high hope and determination
to emerge the Badagry Youth Division Ambassador.

emerged among the 5 reserved memebers that will participate in the camping
programme are. Kadiri Asmau Oyinlola and Agbesi Faozeeyah

started the Eko youth academy program on Monday and it ended today. So far, it
as been an interesting and educating one to build youth ambassadors.”

The Eko Youth Academy is an
initiative of Lagos State Commissioner for Youth and Social Development was in
continuation of the Ibile Youth Academy which produced the present divisional
Youth Ambassadors as well as the State Youth Ambassador last year.
According to the Director of
Youth Development in the Ministry, Mr. Bode Adams as gathered on the Lagos
State website, the Academy seeks to teach youths about leadership initiatives,
prepare them for leadership positions, promote patriotism and mutual
understanding among other sterling qualities that would make them handle
leadership successfully in the future.
About 500 youths who are
undergoing training in different centres across the five divisions of the State
comprises of Badagry, Ikeja, Epe, Ikorodu and Lagos Island would be exposed to
leadership and administrative skills as well as management capabilities among
others.
